The head office of Softpak is located in Ridderkerk / Rotterdam, the biggest port in Europe, in the Netherlands. Softpak is a software company focusing on the software development, software sales and the related support to Harbour related companies such as Shipping Agents, Forwarders (incl. Customs), Container Depots and Container Terminals.
Softpak was founded in 1977 and with more than 40 years experience; it has developed a comprehensive range of integrated logistic software packages for the Maritime Industry.
More than 40 employees are keeping the software packages up to date and constantly adding new functionality to the logistic packages. The goal of Softpak is to supply an innovative software solution which helps to improve the efficiency of the client’s organisation. All our modules have been recently been rebuilt using the latest available technology and are completely Windows based. The software packages can be installed on various hardware environments, whereby remote locations can use the central system via the Internet.
To guarantee a continuous availability of the logistic application, maintenance agreements are offered whereby a centralized Helpdesk monitors all the reported queries for support.
The product portfolio of Softpak includes the Softpak Liner Agency System (Proline), forwarding package (Profor), Warehouse Management System (Prostore), Equipment Control Worldwide module (Proquip), Container Terminal Management System (Proterm), Container Depot and Repair (Proterm – Depot & Repair), Customs package (CDS), Disbursement Accounts and Financial Accounting (Profin).
These modules can be used on a stand-alone basis or integrated to form a complete Enterprise System (ERP).
Besides the developers of the software packages, Softpak has qualified employees to install, train and manage the projects to be assured of a successful implementation. Softpak has a team of highly qualified staff (more than 250 years of experience) with expertise not only in Information Technology (IT), but as well of the business of our maritime customers.
Softpak can help with the installation and maintenance of the required hardware. One single point of contact for the customer avoids possible conflicts between hardware and software suppliers in case a failure has been reported. Or the system can be hosted by one of our partners or in the cloud.
The customers of Softpak are located in the bigger ports in Europe (i.e. Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Dublin, Cork, Felixstowe and Liverpool) and the rest of the world (Netherlands Antilles, Cuba, Saudi Arabia).
